I agree that having a way to write down ideas at all times is critical, both near the bed and even just driving to work. I use the voice memo feature in my phone a lot.

Now, if I could just implement all the ideas...

Just stumbled across your blog while doing a google search "life after college". Really enjoying reading it! As to the request for additional lists, I find that a list of "Accomplishments" is a great one to have around, especially if you ever feel down about all you still have to do in life. Having all your accomplishments in one place, and as you watch the list grow, it can be such incentive to keep on keeping on with all you want to do in life. Plus, its so cool to watch it grow! Makes you have that warm and fuzzy feeling about life, and really makes you appreciate all that you have experienced so far. :)

@Jess - thanks so much for your comment - I think remembering to check all the various lists and "inputs" is a challenge for a lot of people. I try to keep the lists as close as possible to whatever systems I use to track that area of my life, whether physical or digital. For example, the ideas list usually goes in a notepad near my nightstand. The big purchases list goes right inside the Excel sheet I use to track my finances. I think more important than proximity is just knowing where to find it when you're ready to check-up on your list. Another idea is to combine them all into one master list, but I actually haven't found that as effective. My best advice is just experiment and have fun with it!

@Megan - thank you!! Remember how we used to keep track of IOU's for $0.25?

@Mark - love your blog, and thanks for the comments!
