Hi Nathan - Thanks for stopping by. I think the way you put it is simple and
beautiful - I love the idea of letting things flow without affecting your
sense of inner peace. It's given me a lot to think about today!

Thats right.. Am sure It means that you are not focused or attached on an emotional level to things that happen in the world you see around you. You know who you are, and you let things flow around you without touching or affecting your sense of peace.
Blog about Travel and Fitness

Hi Jenny,

I just found your site and I'm very impressed with all the quality posts you have written so far. I've started with the most recent post and have been working my way back but I thought the notes you took from this book are phenomenal - thanks for sharing!

On a sidebar, I saw in a different you always wanted to live in NY. I was born in NY and lived there until last December and let me tell you, NY is the best city in the world and you certainly should make your way out east sometime!

Keep up all the great work.

@David and @Jay - thank you so much for the amazing comments - I can't tell you how much they mean to me. I am blown away. It makes me so thrilled to share the material from this book more broadly, and I love that you were both able to find it...thank you Andrea! :D

This is one of the best posts I have ever read, seriously. As my friend David Cain said on twitter, I don't think I've ever read a post that is this dense with wisdom. This is really powerful stuff you have here, and I'm so glad I found it!

Hi Jenny,

Wow. I frequent a lot of joy- and happiness-related blogs but I don't think I've ever seen a post that is this dense with useful wisdom. I have it bookmarked on delicious and I will be referring to it regularly.

I'll have to read Living With Joy, though at the moment I have a backlog of about ten books on my to-read list.

I was sent here by Andrea; she thought I would appreciate this and she was right.

Thanks Jenny (and Andrea!)

Andrea, thank you so much for the incredibly sweet comment. And HUGE congrats on feeling so good about your own self-esteem - that is not easy, and I know how far you've come. I also love what you are doing on your blog and for other women. The "self-love" aspect to Living with Joy particularly stuck with me from this book. You would probably enjoy the rest of the notes (or the book itself) when you get a chance to read through them. Have a wonderful, JOYFUL week! :D

Another amazing post from you, Jenny! Although I didn't have time to read every sentence, I loved the part about self-esteem (of course). I read it twice, and love it's deep lesson. I smiled when I was done because although it's not a 10, my self esteem is up there!
Keep up the great work. You are beautiful.
